Gallery Enlarged View In this depiction of mythology, Neptune rides on a clamshell chariot pulled by "sea horses" with finned serpentine tails. The scales on the tails have been individually carved of flashed antique stained glass. The reigns are made of textured stained glass that looks like rope. The jewels on the bridle are antique crystal. Neptune's body has been made of glass that has been carved to show his muscles. His septre is made of copper. Selective cutting of the antique glass used for the water and sky depict an angry sea with waves and a stormy sky. • Return to Gallery
